Chapter: 64
Even though Kaitlin hadn't seen Lilliana for some time, Lilliana's arrogance remained untouched, boldly using the Hewitt Group's influence to shop for clothes.

Kaitlin noticed Beth's expression darken considerably.

“I wasn't aware you had the authority to let Alan cover your expenses," Beth snapped, pulling Kaitlin closer as they approached.

Lilliana's expression hardened at their arrival. She recognized Beth, having attempted to win her over her previously, though Beth had always kept her distance.

Now, as Beth clasped Kaitlin's hand with marked affection, a wave of jealousy washed over Lilliana.

“Beth. what brings you here?" Lilliana forced a smile, striving to seem amiable.

Beth gave her a cold look. "We're not on a first-name basis. Please call me Mrs. Hewitt."

Beth had always regarded Lilliana unfavorably, seeing her as a leech to her grandson and a source of constant trouble.

The store staff quickly sensed the tension.

"Madam, you must be Mr. Alan Hewitt's grandmother," one employee chimed in, handing over a list. “Here are Miss Willis’ recent purchases at our store for your review.”

Lilliana had expected the Hewitt family to foot the bill, so the saleswomen thought that Beth would review the charges. She had tried to intervene, but it was already too late.

Glancing at the bill, Beth tossed it back at Lilliana with icy disdain. "Have I lost my mind? Since when does our family have ties with you, Lilliana? Why would we pay for your shopping spree?"

Her words left Lilliana deeply embarrassed. The saleswomen whispered to each other, clearly relishing the drama unfolding before them.

"I just..." Lilliana stammered, trying to find her footing.

"I'm well aware of the trouble you've caused. Don't think it's escaped my notice. You're no longer with the Hewitt Group. I don't care where you work now, but if you continue tarnishing our family's name, you'll only have yourself to blame for the consequences!"

Beth's glare was formidable.

By the next day, everyone in Century Plaza would be talking about this.

Alan had never fretted over these minor expenses, which was why Lilliana had managed to slip by unnoticed before.

Now, she didn't any money yet she was accustomed to a lavish lifestyle. Beth's declaration crushed her remaining hopes.

"Let me explain. Last time wasn't what it seemed. I can explain everything. It was a setup!" Lilliana pleaded as she lunged forward, desperately reaching for Beth's leg, casting aside all semblance of pride.

Kaitlin quickly pulled Beth back by a few steps, and a bodyguard promptly moved in to intercept Lilliana.

"It really wasn't my fault!" Lilliana continued.

Beth scoffed, glancing at the saleswomen, "She can settle her own bill. If she's short on cash, deal with it as you see fit."

The saleswomen nodded, fully aware that Lilliana no longer enjoyed the support of the influential Hewitt family.
