Chapter: 1028
She would find out soon enough.

Upon seeing Maddie, everything clicked into place for Bethany.

“Bethany! Why are you here?" Maddie's surprise was palpable.

She had assumed Jonathan wouldn't risk bringing Bethany here, especially if Bethany learned his mother was involved in their troubles.

She had expected Jonathan to keep it hidden from Bethany.

Regaining her composure, Maddie turned to Jonathan in disbelief.

“Have you told her?"

"Are you out of your mind, Jonathan? Aren't you worried she'll accuse your mother of murder?" Maddie's voice was thunderous.

But Jonathan merely took a step back, his expression indifferent.

“Bethany, I kept my promise."

He hadn't gotten what he wanted, and that was okay.

After saying that, he turned around, got back into his car, and drove off immediately.

Bethany's attention was on the car driving away until Maddie burst out into laughter.

"Jonathan, you ruined my life, and now you can't even get the woman you love! That's karma. I'm not the only one who's crazy here. You're crazier than I am!"

Bethany turned to look at Maddie, hatred burning in her dark eyes.

"Maddie, Jonathan has given me all the evidence, including the videos. You won't escape this time!”

Maddie snorted in response. "So what if you have the videos? I'm the one who let you have them! You can see if they can bring justice for you and that old woman or help you take down the Bates Group.”

“You're still so calm, and it's just because you believe that these videos will somehow vanish, right?" Bethany asked calmly.

Maddie was taken aback. "How do you know that?"

"Jonathan gave me the copies that he processed himself."

Suddenly, Maddie felt a wave of anxiety wash over her, making it hard for her to stay upright. Leaning against the iron railing, she insisted, “That's impossible. Jonathan would never do that! His mother is the one who orchestrated everything. She will definitely go to jail if he does so."

In fact, if the real evidence got out, not only would Jonathan's mother be sentenced to jail, but the entire Bates Group would also suffer the consequences.

What Jonathan was doing was essentially a form of self-destruction.

"Who else could do that except him?" Bethany retorted.
