Chapter: 1044
For decisions that typically required some thought, she could swiftly assess the advantages and disadvantages and even predict the outcomes.
Bethany admired her for that.
She herself was more tentative, not as decisive in matters of the heart as Aimee.
"I think Nikolas deserves to know the truth." After a moment, Bethany voiced her true feelings. "His ex didn't tell him, which made the situation so complicated. Now, if you don't share it with him either, it's tough on him."
“Why should he be pitied? I'm the one who has to endure the surgery!"
Aimee snapped, her frustration evident. "I didn't plan to have a child. He talked about getting engaged, claimed there was no need for protection. ‘If you get pregnant, it's perfect; we'll have the baby," he said. He always mentioned how much he liked children, like Nola and Rowan.
Bethany pursed her Lips.
She understood Aimee's perspective was also valid.
“Alright, I've made my decision. I've already paid the hospital fees. You just need to be there with me and keep this between us." Aimee paused and continued, “Including from Jonathan."
Bethany responded with a trace of bitterness, "He's gone back to his parents."
"So, is he planning to team up with his parents against you?"
"He won't." Bethany frowned and sighed lightly before she said, "Regardless of his actions, he has always shown me kindness."
"Well..."
They arrived at Aimee's small apartment.
Now, without the two children, it would be a suitable place for Bethany to stay alone.
"Aimee, I'll transfer the rent to you."
“Don't be ridiculous! You're making me angry." Aimee moved to help her with the luggage.
Bethany quickly stopped her. "No, let me handle it! Be careful."
She was pregnant, after all.
Aimee pouted and said casually, “Don't worry. I don't plan on keeping it anyway."
“Aimee, don't say that. I know you're trying to reinforce your decision to prevent second thoughts. But doesn't it hurt?"
Aimee was left speechless.
Bethany walked over and placed a hand on her shoulder. “I'll always be here for you, supporting you through everything."
"You're too kind, Bethany."
