Chapter: 1057
"Let go of me!" Aimee turned to push Nikolas away.
Nikolas released her wrist instantly and said, "I'll do it! Don't move!"
Aimee was too furious to notice anything else, but Bethany did.
“Nikolas, you shouldn't be here. You two are no longer together,”
Bethany said cautiously.
"I... I was just looking around downstairs. I didn't mean to disturb her," Nikolas stuttered.
He had been unable to find Aimee and had turned to Jonathan for help.
However, Jonathan had instructed him not to reveal to anyone that he had arranged protection for Bethany.
“You're disturbing me now!" Aimee glared at him, ready to leave with Bethany.
However, when they started heading upstairs, Nikolas followed them closely.
Understanding that some matters needed to be settled, and knowing her place as an outsider, Bethany said, "Aimee, I'm going to leave. It seems Nikolas has something he needs to discuss with you."
"Don't leave me alone! I don't want to talk to him!"
“Aimee! Remember what you said? End things on an amicable note."
Bethany gently patted the back of Aimee's hand to comfort her.
They still had feelings for each other.
Although it was tough to deal with the child from Nikolas’ previous relationship, Bethany believed Aimee should tell Nikolas before making any decisions about the pregnancy.
After all, as the father, he deserved to know and be responsible for what happened.
Aimee was not like her. Aimee and Nikolas didn't carry the same deep hatred.
Aimee hesitated, then called out in a small voice, "Bethany!"
“Aimee, I just want to talk for a minute, okay?" At that moment, Nikolas seemed to struggle with his words.
He had been waiting downstairs for a long time. He felt like smoking but held back because he didn't want Aimee to smell the smoke and feel uncomfortable when they met.
Despite waiting for hours, he still didn't know how to approach her door or what to say to Aimee.
He was worried his words might only make things worse.
"I have nothing to say to you. We're over. Why are you still here? Leave!"
