Chapter: 1067
Despite everything, Siena's composed demeanor, her unflinching agreement to the test, gnawed at Nikolas. Could she really be Lying?
As the clock ticked on, Kai and Gilda arrived, joining the tense wait. Seeing Siena and Nikolas together, they decided to stay until the results were out.
“Why didn't you tell me you were coming to the hospital?" Gilda whispered to Nikolas.
"Jonathan returned from abroad. He told me that Siena's child shouldn't be mine."
“Really?” Gilda's eyes widened in surprise.
Nikolas nodded, his expression grim. "Yes, that's why I'm here."
“If the child isn't yours, your father said he'd help you reach out to Aimee's parents."
Nikolas muttered under his breath, "I hope she's not my daughter."
As if on cue, a doctor emerged from the clinical lab, holding two pieces of paper.
"Is Nikolas Bennett here?"
"I'm here!" Nikolas said, striding towards the doctor.
The doctor handed him the test report.
Nikolas's parents moved closer to look, but Siena stayed back. She felt like it was unnecessary for her to look.
Nikolas's gaze fell on the last line of the report, where the words were written in black font.
"According to the DNA analysis results, there is no parent-child relationship between the person of No.1 sample (Nikolas Bennett) and the person of No.2 sample (Brynlee Todd)."
"There is no parent-child relationship! Honey, look! There is no parent-child relationship!"
Nikolas stood stunned, while Gilda instinctively pulled Kai close, both of them crying in surprise.
Upon hearing this, Siena rushed over with her daughter in her arms, grabbing the test report. “It's impossible. This can't be right! Nikolas, you are the only man I have ever been with!"
“Who knows?" Nikolas retorted angrily, his eyes blazing with anger.
“Siena, do you understand the damage you've done? I almost lost my child because of this mess!"
He took a deep breath, trying to steady himself.
Fortunately, it wasn't too late!
"No, that's not right!" Siena shook her head vehemently, rushing to the doctor. She grabbed his clothes and shouted, "Your paternity test is wrong! Did they pay you off?"
“What? Of course not! We are legally accountable for the accuracy of the paternity test, so we wouldn't dare compromise the results."
