Chapter: 1089
“If you eat something, I promise I'll take you out for a walk,"
Nikolas said with a tone that was too smooth and calculated.
Aimee sensed there was more to his words and pressed for clarity.
“Where are you planning to take me?" she asked.
"How about City Hall?"
Aimee peered into his eyes; he didn't seem to be joking at all.
“There's no way I'll marry you!"
"Then who do you plan to marry?" Nikolas' expression darkened, becoming visibly upset. “Aimee, I really don't want to confront Zeke."
"Don't harm him!" Aimee exclaimed, noticing the growing anger in his eyes. She quickly added, "He has nothing to do with this from the start. Please, don't drag innocent people into our issues! I never liked him, and you've already hurt him once. Please, not again."
She had never liked him.
That was all Nikolas needed to hear.
He softened his tone and his face took on a gentler, affectionate expression. "Alright, I'll do as you say! How about I carry you to breakfast, huh?"
"No." Aimee shook her head forcefully. "Nikolas, I need to return to my parents' house. Can you take me there?"
"No," Nikolas answered promptly, “When our child is six months old, I'll go back with you."
Aimee was left speechless.
“Let's go to the City Hall today to register our marriage, and then I'll return your cell phone."
Aimee was truly frightened by his behavior.
It was as if he had become a completely different person!
"Please don't, Nikolas."
Aimee collapsed onto the bed, fear causing her eyes to redden.
Nikolas reached out to gently wipe her tears away. “Darling, as long as you stay with me and don't run away, I'll do anything you ask."
"Then I don't want to go to the City Hall, and I don't want to have this child either!"
“Just one. I understand you're scared of the pain. It doesn't matter if it's a boy or a girl. Let's just have this one." Nikolas kissed her tear-stained cheek. “Please don't push me away. I don't want to lose my temper with you."
He didn't want to be out of control again like he did last night.
