Chapter: 1091
He could destroy a rich family in Odonset overnight and casually admit it without care for the law.

If Nikolas was capable of this, then Jonathan was capable of even worse.

Aimee made a mental note to tell Jayson not to be Jonathan's rival in love.

“Please, I beg of you. Let go of Marvin. Please. He has nothing to do with this. I made him do it."

Nikolas stood up and took a seat next to Aimee. He playfully wrapped her hair around his finger and said, "Why are you begging me? You should think about your family first. Siena, still sobbing, said, "Nikolas, you shut down my family's hotels and caused me a great loss. My mother's had a heart attack and is in the hospital. Isn't that enough for you?"

“Don't be stupid. You know it's not," Nikolas retorted.

Aimee tugged at Nikolas’ sleeve.

Nikolas turned to Aimee and asked, “Are you scared?"

"Yes," she answered.

Without hesitation, Nikolas hung up the phone. "Let's not listen to her anymore, then. Let's eat."

Aimee was at a loss for words.

The meal had lost its taste in her mouth.

Noticing Aimee's lack of appetite, Nikolas turned to the nutritionist with a frown and said, "Your cooking is so bad she can't even stomach it. Get out of my sight!"

“I'm sorry, Mr. Bennett," the nutritionist said before scurrying out.

“It's not his fault. I just don't have an appetite. You didn't have to be harsh on him," Aimee said.

“You need to eat even more now that you're pregnant," Nikolas said, the fire in his eyes replaced by warmth as he tried to coax her to eat.

“Do you want me to feed you?" he asked.

“There's no need for that," Aimee answered, shaking her head.

She felt uneasy as she ate. Siena kept calling the entire duration of the meal, but Nikolas muted her call.

When Nikolas was done with his meal, he stood up and put on his coat.

"Do you want to rest a little, or do we go to the City Hall right away?" he asked.

Aimee said nothing for a few seconds. Finally, she said, “I don't feel so well. Can I lie down for a while?" This was the only way she knew how to buy time.

She wasn't with her phone, and she wasn't so stupid to run out now that she was pregnant.

It was not like she could outrun Nikolas anyway.
