Chapter: 1112
Nikolas, however, tucked away the certificates.
“No. You don't need it. I'll keep them safe."
Aimee stared at him in disbelief. "Nikolas, if I ever want a divorce, I can simply go to the City Hall and get a new marriage certificate any time I choose."
He couldn't prevent her departure just by holding onto her marriage certificate.
“If you want a divorce, you have to ask me for my agreement!"
Keeping her by his side had been no simple task, and he was determined not to let her slip away.
Aimee drew a deep breath, preferring not to engage in a dispute with Nikolas.
"Now that we're officially married, can I please go home? My parents are extremely anxious; they haven't seen me for days! You shouldn't confine me like this."
“Don't worry, I've already spoken to them via your WhatsApp."
“Nikolas! You've invaded my privacy! Return my phone immediately."
Aimee was stunned by his audacity.
He had accessed her WhatsApp account without her consent!
“Only six months to go. I've consulted a doctor. You can't have an abortion after six months. Then, you can do whatever you want to me."
Nikolas's priority was clear. It was to ensure the baby's safety above all else.
With their marriage now official and a child on the way, he believed Aimee's parents would have no choice but to accept him.
Aimee was left utterly speechless.
"Smile, please!" Nikolas grasped Aimee's hand, his voice laced with mystery as he hinted, “Wait until we get back to the villa. There's a surprise waiting for you."
Aimee's brow furrowed in skepticism. "I doubt you have any surprises that could please me."
Her expectations were low. The idea of a pleasant surprise seemed far -fetched.
"Don't be so sure. You'll be thrilled, I promise!" Nikolas replied, trying to lift the mood as the car rounded a corner and continued towards their destination.
Upon arriving at the villa, Aimee braced herself for anything but a surprise. However, the sight that greeted her was genuinely unexpected.
Siena was there, kneeling by the gate, her eyes red and swollen.
Previously, Siena had always carried herself with arrogance and disdain.
“Nikolas, what's going on?" Aimee asked, turning to him with a puzzled look.
