Chapter: 1175
“I called the flower shop. The owner said the customer didn't request a card, so she doesn't know who sent them. But they did leave a phone number."

Brody displayed the number to Jonathan.

Jonathan quickly checked the number and found it was Jayson's.

"What's the soonest flight back home?" Jonathan asked.

After a moment, Brody replied, "There's one at three this afternoon."

“Book it."

"What?"

Jonathan said through gritted teeth, "Book the flight. We're heading back to Odonset today."

"What?"

Brody was puzzled, not having seen Jonathan's phone activity earlier.

"Mr. Bates, your schedule is packed. Are you cancelling everything on short notice?"

"I need to head home first. I'll return later." Jonathan tapped his fingers on the desk, his mood turning sour. "Tell them I'm too sick to meet."

“Understood, Mr. Bates."

Brody exited the office and glanced at the number on his phone.

Why had Jonathan reacted so strongly upon seeing it?

Driven by curiosity, he dialed the number from his personal phone.

After a few rings, a man answered.

"Hello, this is Jayson Watson. Who's calling?"

Brody quickly disconnected and smirked.

Now everything clicked.

It was time to book a flight.

Meanwhile, Nikolas and Aimee had just entered her parents’ house, deliberating on how to reveal their recent marriage registration and Aimee's pregnancy.

Nikolas’ previous efforts to smooth things over had worked somewhat;

Henson seemed less upset than anticipated.
