Smiling, Bethany returned to her office in her high heels and placed the coffee orders.

Just as she was about to complete the payment, she noticed a new friend request.

After paying, she checked the request.

"I'm Nikolas. Do you want to go to the resort?"

Bethany hadn't expected Nikolas to add her.

She figured Aimee must have shared her contact details.

After a moment of hesitation, Bethany accepted the request.

Almost immediately, Nikolas sent her an electronic wedding invitation.

“Aimee's parents have given their blessing. We're getting married next month."

“Really?” Bethany was genuinely surprised.

She clicked on the invitation to find a wedding photo of Aimee and Nikolas already in place.

They were moving quickly.

"Absolutely! You and Jonathan have to be there. Rowan and Nola will be our flower children."

"Of course. I wouldn't miss Aimee's wedding for the world."

Bethany lingered on the mention of "Jonathan" in Nikolas' message.

She wanted to ask when Jonathan would return but decided against it.

She didn't want to seem overly interested in Jonathan's affairs through his friend.

"And about the resort! Aimee is really excited about it. She wants you to come too. Please don't let her down. She mentioned she won't have much time to go out after the baby arrives. The resort in Westsilver just opened, and she's eager to see it.”

Bethany sighed and started to think of a polite way to decline.

But then, Nikolas sent her the reservation details.

"I've booked the rooms. Since you seemed hesitant, I made the decision for you."

Bethany was at a loss for words.
