Chapter: 353
Brody caught his drift. “Understood, sir.”
“Any recommendations for food or scenic spots?" Jonathan asked, pouring himself a glass of red wine.
"There's a vibrant night market in Westsilver!"
After saying that, Brody quickly added, "Mr. Bates, Westsilver isn't known for its nightlife. Aside from this night market, there's not much happening after dark. But if you're looking for good places to eat during the day, I can recommend a few great restaurants."
Jonathan put down his wine glass and glanced at his watch. “Send me the address of the night market."
“Are you planning to go there?" Brody asked, surprised.
Jonathan was known for his extreme dislike of crowded places and his aversion to street food. It was out of character for him to want to visit a night market.
"Yes. Maybe after the resort project is finished, we can look into building a five-star hotel here."
Jonathan thought the scenery was beautiful and the air quality excellent, ideal for people seeking a peaceful retreat.
“Do you need me to come with you? I can help with the inspection."
“No. Just have the driver wait for me at the hotel."
“Okay, Mr. Bates."
After hanging up, Jonathan changed out of his usual suit into black casual clothes. He intended to relax completely during his stay here.
Meanwhile, Bethany received a call from Colt, informing her that the resident had returned to cause trouble even after receiving his compensation. He might have heard something or realized a mistake.
Bethany told Aimee to take Nola to the night market first and said she would join them after handling the issue.
She quickly drove to Colt's location. When she arrived, the resident was still shouting, "You're all liars! I'll go to the TV station and expose you!"
“What did we lie to you about?" Bethany snapped, striding over confidently in high heels.
Seeing her, the resident, who had been so arrogant, suddenly hesitated. "I'm here to talk to you! Answer me! You said the design plans were changed. Now, why aren't they?"
"You took the money and signed the consent form. This residence no longer concerns you. We don't need your approval for our design changes."
"You..."
Bethany glanced at him. She had encountered people like this many times before and had expected it, though not so soon.
"If you don't want to end up in jail without spending a penny of that money, leave now. I won't call the police. But if you keep causing trouble, we will."
"Don't threaten me! What can the police do? You deceived me first!"
“Where's your evidence? Didn't you beg us to demolish your place?"
