Chapter: 355
He parked his car by the roadside and donned a hat to avoid attention before stepping out.

However, his tall, broad figure still drew some looks.

The driver, being a local, started recommending some unique snacks for Jonathan to try as they entered the night market.

Jonathan purchased all the suggested snacks he suggested, but didn't eat any of them.

"Mr. Bates, do you feel tired having to be in charge of the company every day?" the driver asked tentatively with a smile.

He was worried he might offend Jonathan with a careless remark.

"It's alright. I'm used to it." Jonathan handed the snacks to the driver. "These are for you."

"ALL for me?" the driver asked, surprised.

"Yes."

In truth, Jonathan couldn't bring himself to try the food.

He was a bit of a clean freak, and the thought of eating from roadside shops made him squirm.

Seeing how happy the driver was to just get the snacks, Jonathan couldn't help but smile.

Just then, he inadvertently spotted a girl behind the driver.

It was the same girl he had seen at the entrance of Dreamer Hotel last time.

He recognized her pigtail, her chubby face, and most of all, those familiar big eyes.

Jonathan couldn't help but notice the girl's eyes looked like Bethany's.

Reflecting on this, he forced a bitter, self-deprecating smile.

He came to Westsilver to forget Bethany and start anew, yet even a fleeting glimpse of a child evoked her image.

His mother said he was obsessed with Bethany, and now he had to admit it.

Coming back to his senses, Jonathan searched for the little girl once more, only to find her gone.

"I must be losing it," he murmured.

"What did you say, Mr. Bates?" the driver asked.

"Never mind. Let's go back to the hotel." Jonathan had a feeling that today might not be the best day to be out. It would be wiser to rest well instead, to prevent himself from seeing Bethany's resemblance in everyone.

The driver, though confused, nodded in compliance, knowing he couldn't defy his boss's orders.
