"You hit me on such a wide road?"

"Forgive me! I was lost in my thoughts!" The other driver stepped out of the car and apologized right away, showing a surprisingly good attitude.

Bethany felt too embarrassed to keep blaming them.

She walked to the back to inspect her car. It was badly damaged. The paint was scratched, and the side panel was dented.

Just as Bethany was about to call her insurance company, the driver smiled and said, "I'll pay for all the repairs; no need to report it to insurance. Give me your phone number, and I'll give you the money later."

Realizing the driver needed her contact information, Bethany retrieved a business card from her car and handed it to him.

"Here, this is my contact number."

After that, she glanced at his car out of habit.

There seemed to be a man sitting in the back seat, but he didn't step out, and she couldn't see his face clearly.

The driver accepted the card with both hands and then handed her a bank card loaded with fifty thousand dollars on the spot.

"I'm really sorry, Ms. Holt. Please get the car fixed first. Let me know if the money isn't enough!"

Seeing the driver's honesty, Bethany replied, "I won't even require that much money. I'll send you an invoice and refund the excess."

She wasn't a greedy person.

"Alright."

After settling the matter, Bethany hurriedly drove her damaged car to the night market. Aimee had called her several times.

Behind her, the driver waited until she drove out of sight before getting back into the car.

"Mr. Bates, this is the business card she provided me with," the driver said, handing the card to Jonathan.

Jonathan took the card, his dark eyes narrowing as he examined it.

“Hand over your SIM card."

"Yes, Mr. Bates." The driver didn't hesitate, removing the SIM card from his phone.

After a brief pause, Jonathan called Brody. "Check out this phone number for me."

It wasn't long before Brody called back. "Mr. Bates, this number is registered to Aimee Bates."

Jonathan frowned at the revelation.

No wonder he couldn't track down Bethany's number!
