Chapter: 366
"Ms. Holt! Are you here to pick up your stuff?"

“My stuff? What stuff?" Bethany asked, confused.

"A gentleman left this here for your daughter," the receptionist said, handing her a bag of candies.

Bethany smiled as she went through the bag, which was filled to the brim with different sweets.

She sighed good-naturedly.

This must be another instance of Nola asking strangers for candies and some kind person buying them for her.

This wasn't the first time such a thing had happened. Nola's cuteness attracted people to her. Over time, she learned to exploit that to get sweets for herself.

It was cute, with the only drawback being the effects it had on her teeth.

Bethany smiled at the receptionist and said, "Send him my thanks. If I run into him, I'll have Nola thank him in person."

"He's checking out tomorrow. He just cancelled his extended stay," the receptionist replied.

"Then help me give this to him," Bethany said, as she took out a business card with her information to give to the receptionist. "I see he got quite a number of expensive candies. I'd like to reimburse him for that."

"I doubt he'll take reimbursement. The gentleman happens to be the one who booked our most luxurious room for a month. That cost almost two hundred thousand."

“Really? It seems there are many wealthy people in Westsilver."

With its beautiful scenery and pleasant climate, Bethany thought investing in Westsilver was indeed a good idea.

The receptionist chuckled and took the card from Bethany. "I hope we get more people like him to visit."

Bethany smiled at this.

It seemed this gentleman had not only succeeded in charming her daughter but the hotel staff as well. He must be quite dashing.

The next morning, Bethany was abruptly called away by Colt.

She rushed to the construction site, where she saw Colt involved in a heated argument with a group of people.

Bethany recognized one of the people Colt was arguing with. It was the stubborn resident.

This time, he wasn't alone. There were a dozen men and women with him.

"You're deceiving the common folks and tricking us into relocating so you can steal our homes!"

"This was all spelled out in the contract, and you were paid every penny owed to you. How then are we deceiving you?" Colt wasn't good at arguing and was thus at a disadvantage.

Bethany could see that the people were up to no good, so she took out her phone and dialed 911.
