Chapter: 368
Then, suddenly, a doctor's voice pierced through the confusion.

"The patient has a serious concussion. She may experience headaches and nausea upon waking. Keep a close watch on her."

"Understood," a nurse replied.

Bethany attempted to move her fingers. After some effort, she gradually opened her eyes.

She looked up at the white ceiling and was greeted by the strong, unpleasant smell of disinfectant.

She was still alive.

“Miss, you're awake!" the nurse exclaimed, quickly summoning the doctor.

After conducting several more examinations and confirming her stability, the doctor finally felt relieved.

Bethany could even see beads of sweat the size of small beans on his forehead.

How overly dramatic! She wasn't a high-profile figure.

Relieved, the doctor hurried out, instructing someone, "Hurry up. Tell him she's alright!"

Him?

Who was that man?

Before Bethany could figure out, a sudden headache made her frown deeply.

Noticing her distress, the doctor quickly stepped forward to ease her pain.

Shortly after, the nurse who had just left rushed back into the room.

"I told him."

"He didn't come over?"

"No, he's already gone."

Listening to the nurse and doctor's conversation, Bethany sensed something strange. Before she could speak, a feeling of nausea came up again.

Afterward, her body's last bit of strength drained away, and she closed her eyes once more, drifting into sleep.

When she woke up, she found herself in a regular ward.

Upon opening her eyes, she first saw Colt seated beside her, a bandage wrapped around his forehead. Ryan was there too, looking exhausted and visibly concerned.

“Thank goodness, you're awake!"
