Chapter: 444
Jaden complied with a nod, saying, "Okay."

Bethany still thought of her safety. She had planned for Jaden to return for her after dropping off Liza.

She had just returned from the hospital. Surely, she couldn't end up there again during a business trip.

Once they were gone, Brenden and Wesley didn't stop; they filled Bethany's glass repeatedly. Every time she finished, another full glass appeared.

Realizing her limit, Bethany gestured with her hand and stood. "I need to use the restroom."

“I'U assist you," offered Wesley, ready to rise.

“No, I've got it," Bethany insisted, clinging to her sobriety.

She planned to call Jaden from the restroom. Yet, upon entering, her vision started to blur.

Just then, her phone began to ring.

Bethany reached for it, struggling to make out who was calling.

"Hello..."

“Where are you?"

“Hey... I'm drunk..."

After uttering those words, Bethany's strength faded, and she collapsed in the washroom.

When Jonathan found her in the ladies' room, she was totally unconscious.

Without any hesitation, Jonathan woke in and lifted Bethany from the floor. His handsome face displayed a cold demeanor.

Jonathan shuddered at the thought of what could have happened if he hadn't arrived today.

A drunk woman was vulnerable to others!

"It's been four years, yet you haven't changed."

Meanwhile, Brenden and Wesley were still waiting outside.

The drugged wine proved useful today.

Wesley sliced into his steak and said with a grin, “Brenden, this tactic is typical in business. Women are the best to deal with. She's the project director. If she's on our side, our partnership will be much easier."

“Mr. Byrd, you're incredibly smart, always ready to put the company's interests first."

"Ha-ha! It's not a bad deal for me. She's attractive, though she's married." Wesley looked over at the wine bottle, narrowing his eyes.
