At last, she received his message.

"Meet me at Corner Taste at seven tonight, okay?"

“Okay! I'll bring your invoice with me," Bethany responded.

She quickly dressed up and placed the invoice in her bag.

When she left her hotel room, she saw Ryan standing nearby, smoking in a corner.

As Ryan saw Bethany, he put out his cigarette and approached her.

“Did you get some good rest?"

"Yes,"

“What are you going to do?" Ryan examined her, noticing that she was dressed to go out.

"I'm meeting a friend. He helped me last night. I'm taking him out for dinner to express my gratitude."

Ryan chuckled.

He suspected her so-called friend was likely connected to Jonathan.

After all, how else could Jonathan have known enough to attack Owlimited Company earlier?

"Mind if I join you? I would like to thank your friend as well."

Bethany stopped and frowned. “Well... I don't think that's a good idea. He doesn't know you."

“We'll get to know each other once we meet. He was a big help. While I was away from Brokdon, some people from Owlimited Company were planning harm against you, and your friend intervened just in time. I owe him gratitude!"

Bethany did not want to bring Ryan along.

It was only her second time meeting the driver. Why should she bring Ryan?

"Then I'll drive you there, Ryan offered without insisting. He was eager to identify this person. After all, he needed to learn more about Jonathan's people."
