Chapter: 511
"I was planning to deal with that jerk of a dad. Once I was done, I would have gotten in touch."
"Deal with him? How?" Jayson inquired with a sense of resignation in his tone.
That jerk was Jonathan, the CEO of Bates Group! A child couldn't possibly sway him.
Rowan glanced up, an eyebrow raised. “Why not? It's only Bates Group. I went to their office and uploaded a virus to their computers."
When Rowan arrived at Bates Group to locate Jonathan, he found a computer in the security room logged into Bates Group's software.
Even though it was an outdated version that couldn't connect with the senior staff, it didn't hinder his plan to implant a virus.
Jayson was skeptical. "You don't seriously think hacking into Bates Group's network is that easy, do you? Despite your computer skills, Bates Group has some of the best experts from around the world. Their security systems would have detected your actions by now."
Yet, Rowan flashed his phone at Jayson and said, "Look, I now have access to the internal accounts of their executives! I'll send a notice to prove it!"
He paused for a moment, then composed a message on the software and sent it.
"Uncle Jayson, take a look."
Jayson was doubtful, but he still pulled the car over, opened his phone, and checked Bates Group's website.
The top headline banner declared, “Jonathan Bates is a big jerk and a dog!"
"Is this all the medical records?" Jonathan frowned at the few words on the page.
"Yes, this is all of it! We retrieved her mother's records too, but... some details are missing."
“Why are they missing?"
The hospital director quickly explained, "At that time, the computer had a glitch, and the data failed to save. We lost all the files from that period."
Jonathan looked over the few words on the page once more, seeing only mentions of fevers and colds.
There was no indication that Bethany had been pregnant.
Yet, there was also nothing about her being unable to conceive.
This was at odds with what Nikolas had told him.
"Bring me the doctor who took care of Bethany."
If the records were concealed, he would speak with the doctor.
"Mr. Bates, that doctor resigned a year ago, and we've lost touch with him. I can provide his last known contact information, but..."
The director found himself in a bind, lacking Jonathan's resources to locate someone. He was clueless about the resigned doctor's whereabouts.
