Chapter: 575
Before Bethany could elaborate, Jayson abruptly headed for the door.

Taken aback, she caught hold of him. “Where are you going?"

"I need to confront Jonathan! I need to know his true intentions! Your mother's dead because of him. Must you also be in peril before he's satisfied?"

"Please, don't," Bethany urged, stepping in front of him to block his path. "Listen, Jayson, I swear I'll keep myself safe. We can't make a move until B7 has restored the footage."

She was resolute about bringing justice to those who wronged her mother, yet they had to avoid tipping off their enemy.

“You're walking right back into danger! I can't stand the thought of losing you," Jayson confessed, his voice laden with fear, picturing a life without her and the horrors her enemies could unleash upon her.

“I'm aware of the risks. Trust me," Bethany assured him confidently, prepared for the challenges ahead.

She realized it wasn't going to be simple.

There were bound to be complications.

Jayson, feeling powerless, curbed his urge to argue further.

Reluctantly, he made a modest proposal.

"You can work at Bates Group, but I insist on driving you there and back every day.”

“You're staying in Odonset for me?" Bethany was visibly shaken, her brow furrowed in concern. “But you have your own responsibilities.”

“None of that matters. Your safety is my priority!" Jayson reassured her, patting her shoulder. “Don't worry about it. I can find a decent job here in Odonset. I'll look for a place near Bates Group, so I can get to you quickly if you need anything.”

However, Bethany's worries extended beyond just these practicalities.

The depth of his devotion felt Like a heavy burden to her.

“Jayson, you've given up so much for me already. I don't want you to sacrifice any more."

“We're practically family. Protecting you is what I should do. And don't forget, I've always looked after Rowan. Now that he's with Jonathan, I'm concerned for him too," Jayson explained.

Bethany fell silent, absorbing his words.

"Please, let me stay in Odonset!" Jayson urged, his plea leaving Bethany with little choice but to agree.

The dangers were becoming more apparent, and it was obvious that he would not leave her side.

Whether Bethany agreed or not, Jayson would remain close by-openly or in secret.

She had anticipated this.

“Are you saying you'll stay regardless of my decision?" she questioned.
