Chapter: 594
He took a deep breath and straightened in his seat.

In an instant, he returned to his usual self-cool, distant, and composed.

Silently, Jonathan drove them to their meeting with the partners.

Throughout the meeting, he maintained utmost professionalism, handling negotiations and final details with precision. Then, he quietly drove Bethany back to the office without a second glance.

It felt as though they had come full circle.

He occupied the lofty position of CEO, while she labored in the shadows as his assistant.

Bethany felt a wave of remorse wash over her after her sharp words.

She understood Jonathan's moral compass was steadfast. Perhaps it was merely a physical craving. But even if Jonathan never found love again or remarried, would their hurdles vanish? No.

Jonathan remained unaware of her relentless pursuit to hold his mother accountable.

And not just her, but his father and anyone who aided Maddie-none of them would escape her pursuit.

Earlier, Jonathan had promised Rowan they'd visit Nikolas in the hospital.

So after finishing his work, he returned to East Shade Bay to pick him up.

Rowan hunched over in the car, absorbed in his phone as it flickered with unreadable text.

Jonathan recognized it as another of Rowan's experimental viruses.

Approaching the hospital, Rowan finally set aside his phone and leaned closer to Jonathan.

"You're acting strange today. What's up?"

Jonathan glanced at him briefly, then focused back on the road. "Hmm?"

"You brought that woman home. Why? You never bring anyone home."

Rowan sensed something was off.

Given the circumstances, why was Jonathan so composed?

There were no further questions.

"Rowan, you've met her before, right?" Jonathan abandoned his facade, staring at Rowan. "Do you really think you can fool me?"

"I don't understand what you're saying!"

“Let me lay it out. I think Bethany is your mother."
