Chapter: 605
The further, the better!

“I can eat anything," she simply said.

ALL she wanted was to see B7 after dinner.

Just then, her phone rang. It was Jayson calling, and she knew he was concerned about her.

Jonathan, noticing the name on her screen, grew stern, even though he knew they were just friends.

"Hello... Yes, I'm fine! You should go to bed early, I'll fill you in tomorrow. Alright, take care... Bye."

Bethany continued walking next to Jonathan while she talked. After ending the call, she noticed Jonathan had taken her hand.

Their hands were now clasped, attracting stares from those around them.

Bethany instinctively tried to pull her hand.

However, Jonathan's grip tightened, and he half-turned towards her, saying, "I don't want you to get lost."

“No! Let go of my hand!"

“Bethany, if you get lost here, I won't have time to search for you. Just stay close."

She wasn't buying his absurd reasoning and pulled harder.

The more she resisted, the firmer Jonathan held on.

"You said we were just here for dinner!"

Jonathan's intense gaze fixed on her. “Have I done anything else? I'm just trying to avoid wasting time looking for you if we get separated."

Bethany was astonished at how effortlessly he could lie. "You-"

“Your hands are very cold. You haven't been taking care of yourself, have you?"

Jonathan couldn't think about how hard Bethany's life must have been, raising two children on her own all these years.

"I'm fine. My hands are cold because you're making me angry."

If he could talk nonsense, so could she.

Jonathan just smiled. He was happy to be able to hold her hand again.

She could say whatever she wanted.

Done with the grocery shopping, Bethany took the opportunity to withdraw her hand and slip into the back seat of the car.
