Chapter: 630
"Get back! All of you, leave now!" Maddie's voice echoed sharply in the warehouse. “Jonathan, order them out!"

“Everyone, leave," Jonathan commanded, fearing Maddie might harm Bethany further. He would accept any terms she set, even if it meant sacrificing his life for Bethany's.

With the bodyguards gone, only the three of them remained in the warehouse.

Maddie gazed at Jonathan with a smile. "Do you know how much I love you? When I raped by those men, trying to save your mother, it was so painful, so torturous, yet all I thought about was if I survived, your mother would let me marry you. Suddenly, the pain didn't exist anymore."

Jonathan remained quiet.

"If I didn't love you so much, I could have led a life of Luxury. Saving your mother would have secured me lifelong care from your family. I know that! But what can I do? I just want to be your bride. Even if you weren't the heir to Bates Group, I would still choose to be with you!"

These were perhaps the most sincere words Maddie had ever uttered.

She had deceived many, but in this moment, she spoke her honest truth.

Yet, as she expressed her love earnestly, the gaze of the man she loved was fixed solely on Bethany.

"Jonathan, step closer, and I'll release Bethany."

"Okay."

Jonathan advanced without hesitation, but Bethany, sensing the shift of Maddie's knife, gathered all her strength and cried out, "No, don't!"

In the next instant, Maddie drove the knife deep into Jonathan's body.

Maddie was ruthless. Her goal was clear-she wanted Jonathan gone for good.

So, she drove the knife deep into him with both hands, burying it completely. Jonathan's suit and white shirt quickly became drenched in blood.

It was the suit he had picked out carefully that morning, excited to see Bethany as soon as he woke.

"You want to kill me? Fine, I'm not afraid to die. Jonathan, let's end it together! We'll never be separated!" Maddie yelled.

"No! Jonathan!" Bethany reached out, but her vision started to blur uncontrollably.

Before she blacked out, she faintly heard Maddie's wild laughter and Jonathan's raspy voice.

He said, “Don't worry about me; save her first.”

Bethany felt like she was falling into an endless void.

Her body seemed to float, dropping endlessly.

She saw her mother getting farther and farther away until she vanished, and saw Jayson, Aimee, Rowan, and Nola, waving at her before they too disappeared.

Bethany tried desperately to reach them, but she couldn't control her body.
