Chapter: 644
Without waiting for an answer, Aimee hurried off to get the child.

Jayson took Bethany's phone, his expression stern. “This time, no one is going to help you. Forget about finding Jonathan."

Bethany ignored him and used all her strength to try and get up.

She fell back, then tried again repeatedly, aggravating her injuries in the process.

Eventually, Jayson tied her to the bed with ropes.

“Jayson! Let me go!"

“Even if you end up hating me, you can't leave."

As they were talking, Aimee entered the room with Rowan.

Seeing her son, Bethany finally relaxed.

Rowan ran to her and took her hand. “Mommy... does it hurt?"

Tears welled up in Bethany's eyes.

Then, Rowan whispered in her ear, “Mommy, his phone's location is in Malmo, Wesden."

Bethany looked at her son with wide eyes. Rowan flashed a row of neat teeth and winked at her.

"You should find him and bring him back soon. I've lost weight because I haven't had his cooking in days!"

“Alright, I'll definitely bring him back," Bethany said.

Jayson and Aimee couldn't hear the exchange between mother and son, but they noticed a smile finally light up Bethany's face, which was a relief.

The relentless days took a toll on Jayson, leaving him visibly worn.

“Jayson, let me take over. You need to rest!"

Aimee was concerned for Jayson. Fatigue marked his face, and his clothes were unchanged for days. He had been constantly at Bethany's side, a strain no one could bear indefinitely.

“But she—"

“It's fine! I was here before you arrived." Aimee patted his shoulder.

“Resting now will make you more effective in looking after Bethany!"

Jayson glanced at Bethany lying in the bed and finally agreed. Before he left, he couldn't help but caution Aimee, saying, "She's very fragile right now, don't distress her! If anything unusual happens, call me right away. Also, monitor her wounds for any signs of bleeding; just check the bandages."

"Jayson! I know how to look after someone! And remember, we have doctors here!"
