Chapter: 683
Her back and legs were aching terribly!

Unaware of what had happened earlier, Samira entered with the medical supplies and commented, “It's quite stuffy in here, and there's an odd smell."

Bethany felt a shiver run through her scalp and kept her gaze lowered in guilt.

A dreadful thought crossed her mind.

Would Jonathan continue this behavior for another month?

“Jonathan, how are you feeling?" Samira asked, approaching Jonathan.

"Great," he responded.

“Let's see about that." Samira carefully began to remove the bandages, her brow furrowing slightly. "Your wound... Did you move in your sleep? There's some bleeding here."

Jonathan glanced at Bethany, who avoided his gaze, and replied, "Maybe I did."

"You need to be more careful with your movements. If it keeps bleeding, it won't heal right." After giving her advice, Samira made some notes in her notebook and checked the monitors. Pleased with the readings, she nodded. “Overall, you're showing improvement. Stay in bed today, but tomorrow, we can take off some of this equipment and you can start moving around a little."

“Okay, thank you."

Samira was on her way out when Jonathan called her back. He lowered his voice and asked, "Can I take a shower tomorrow?"

“Not yet. Is something wrong? Are you feeling any discomfort?" She noticed Jonathan frowning deeply.

“Just feeling sticky from sweating a lot."

"Sweating?" Samira raised her eyebrows in surprise. "This room is air-conditioned. Feel free to use it."

Jonathan looked over at Bethany and smiled. "Okay, got it."

Samira exited the room, sensing that both were behaving strangely today.

As the door shut behind her, Bethany clenched her teeth. “Are you hoping people will discover what happened last night?"

His insinuations just now were clear.

“I was merely asking about a shower. Nothing more," Jonathan said, his face regaining some color. Indeed, he appeared rather refreshed today.

“Enough. I'm spending the night with Aimee."

"Go ahead," he replied nonchalantly.

Bethany was taken aback by his easy agreement but nodded in acceptance.

Then he slowly added, “Just let me be alone in the room. If I die, nobody will know."
