“Anyway, Aimee came all this way for me. I can't just leave her alone while we spend time together. I'll ask her to join us for dinner tonight, alright?"

He was grateful to have Aimee in their lives.

He understood how much she had cared for Bethany. But if Jayson weren't her cousin, he would feel even more grateful.

"Okay, let me text her!"

Jonathan nodded thoughtfully. "Since she hasn't been to Wesden before, should I arrange for someone to show her around for a few days before she heads back?"

"I'll ask her when she arrives," Bethany replied. “When you see Nikolas again, could you please explain to him that Aimee isn't a mean person? She was just being overly protective of me, and that's the only reason she said what she said. I apologize on her behalf."
