Chapter: 752
The confirmation sent a jolt through Nikolas.
“And who is he to you?" His jealousy was palpable.
Aimee paused and gestured towards the stewardess behind them. “We're about to land. Could you please take your seat?"
"Sir, could you return to your seat now?" the stewardess added without delay.
With a stranger present, Nikolas felt compelled to retreat and sit down without further fuss.
Aimee quickly stowed her eye patch and pillow in her bag just as the plane touched down smoothly.
She had enjoyed a solid ten hours of sleep and felt rejuvenated, already planning to treat herself to a lavish meal later with her cousin and the twins.
It was definitely going to be on Jayson's tab.
“Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for flying with us. We have arrived at Odonset Airport. the intercom announced."
Aimee swapped her shoes, grabbed her bag, and prepared to disembark, barely giving Nikolas a second thought.
Nikolas, seething with frustration, clenched his teeth. However, with all the passengers rising and ready to exit, he had no chance to vent his anger.
As Aimee stepped off the plane, her phone rang. It was Jayson.
Her heart warmed at the sight of her cousin's name.
"Yes! I just landed! Are you here yet? And you got me a gift? Oh, I love you so much!"
Aimee preferred to be picked up rather than seen off. It felt like someone was there for her.
"I'm not lying. I really love you! Of course, I have to stay at your place tonight. Where else would I go?"
On the other end, Jayson responded with a helpless chuckle. "I thought maybe you'd want to go home first, in case your parents were expecting you."
"No! Flying is exhausting. We'll visit my parents tomorrow," she insisted.
“Alright, I'll do as you wish."
“I'm about to leave now. Just grabbing my luggage! See you soon."
Aimee quickened her pace after ending the call.
But barely a few steps later, she sensed someone tugging at her bag from behind.
Turning around, she was met with Nikolas’ stern gaze.
She had completely forgotten about him.
