Chapter: 753
"Is there something you needed?" she asked.

Nikolas narrowed his eyes, his eyebrows arching slightly. “Done with your phone call?"

"Yes," Aimee replied.

“So, you're staying with another man tonight? And you really love him?"

Aimee's irritation flared when she heard the comment.

Just moments earlier, she had maintained her composure, grateful for the care she received in Wesden. Now, however, she felt nothing but revulsion towards Nikolas.

“Did you eavesdrop on me?" she asked.

“Eavesdrop? Your voice was so loud that everyone in the airport could hear you planning to sleep with a man tonight," Nikolas retorted, his own anger palpable as he sneered.

Initially, no one paid much attention to them, but their heated argument soon drew the curious and gossiping glances of many around them.

Such a degrading comment was too much for any woman to bear.

Aimee clenched her teeth and challenged, "Say that again."

"I'm only stating the facts. You said on the phone that you were going to his house to sleep over and then meet your parents. Aimee, you already have a boyfriend. Why did you invite me to sleep with you back in Wesden?"

As Nikolas’ words hung in the air, Aimee stepped forward and delivered a resounding slap across his face.

"Nikolas, you're absolutely disgusting!"

Aimee hurled the words at him, spun on her heel, and fled.

Tears cascaded down her cheeks.

This public humiliation was a first for her.

Her family, though not extraordinarily wealthy, lived comfortably.

As an only child, Aimee had been the sole focus of her parents' affection, resulting in a pampered haughty and sometimes demeanor.

Typically, no one dared to address her with such severity.

The slap took Nikolas by surprise! He hadn't anticipated Aimee's reaction.

The sting of the slap snapped him back to the present, tempering his rage. He became painfully aware of the mocking and entertained looks in the eyes of the onlookers.

He acknowledged his previous words had been too harsh.

Nikolas thought of himself as a seasoned dater, yet he had never lost his cool like this. None of his past relationships had ever escalated to such a confrontation. Even when ex-girlfriends had persisted, seeking reconciliation, he would dodge them, either ignoring their calls or paying them off.
