Chapter: 78
"Did we use them all up back home?"

Bethany shook her head "No. I just thought you'd be too exhausted from the trip."

Who would have thought Jonathan would use up five condoms in a single night?

Jonathan folded his arms and gazed at Bethany. "So, what's the plan now?"

What was Jonathan implying?

Bethany was confused, unsure of what he meant.

"Forget it," Jonathan said, heading to the bathroom and opening the door.

Just as Bethany was about to breathe a sigh of relief, she heard him say, “I'll buy the condoms later."

“What? No!" Bethany quickly responded. "I'll handle it."

As his assistant, she could go to the supermarket to buy what was needed without raising eyebrows. Being a woman, she figured nobody would give it a second thought.

The situation was different for Jonathan.

If he were seen or photographed while purchasing condoms, it could lead to a scandal.

Sensing her concern, Jonathan took a deep breath. "You don't need to worry so much."

“Why not? What if people find out about us?"

A discovery of their relationship could damage Jonathan's reputation, and Bethany dreaded the thought of her mother's reaction if she ever found out.

While Jonathan was in the shower, Bethany rushed out to make the purchase. To cover her tracks, she also bought some groceries.

Concerned about possibly bumping into Brody in the elevator, she chose to take the stairs instead.

Upon her quiet return to the room, Jonathan had already finished his shower. He was talking about business on his phone.

Bethany chose not to interrupt and settled silently on the sofa with her phone.

As soon as she sat down, she received a message from Jayson.

“I'm sorry to disturb you. I've finished my speech. Are you available to meet tomorrow?"

Bethany quickly replied, "Yes, I'm free tomorrow. I'll get in touch after my morning tasks."

“Okay! Still awake? I thought girls would be in bed early for beauty sleep." Jayson initiated another conversation.

Realizing he might continue the chat, Bethany paused briefly before replying, “I'm off to bed now."
