Chapter: 795
"There's no specific reason. I don't have an answer."

If he had one, he wouldn't have been stuck for years.

Bethany felt that Jonathan wanted to ask her, “What about you?" yet he held back.

He feared asking.

He was worried that her response might not be what he hoped for.

The conversation had become too intense for Bethany to pursue further.

She glanced down to check her phone and noticed an unread message.

It was from Aimee.

She clicked it open to see a photo of a man.

Jonathan, who was sitting beside her, saw it and immediately showed concern. “Why is she sending you a photo of a guy?"

Bethany exhaled, lifting her phone to show him the message, and said, "Don't assume the worst. She's just asking if he looks good. She's considering him for a blind date."

“She's going on a blind date?"

"Yes," Bethany confirmed with a nod and took a moment to examine the man in the picture more closely.

He appeared neat and was Likely close to Aimee's age. He wasn't exceptionally handsome, but he certainly looked better than average.

He must match Aimee's preferences, or she wouldn't have sought her opinion.

Just as Bethany was about to zoom in for a closer look at his features, Jonathan reached over and grabbed the phone from her hand.

She raised her eyes to meet Jonathan's annoyed gaze.

“How long will you keep looking at it?"

"You're not really jealous, are you?"

"What's there to see? He's Aimee's date, not yours." Jonathan switched off her phone and put it aside. "You'll never need a blind date."

Bethany Laughed a bit helplessly, hugging Jonathan's arm and giving it a playful shake. "I promise, I'll never go on a blind date, okay? Don't be jealous; you're a CEO, remember?"

"Even CEOs have feelings. Isn't it normal for me to feel uneasy when you're looking at photos of other men?"

"You're right! I'll stop looking. I'll even delete it." Without a second thought, Bethany deleted the photo. “I was just worried about Aimee. She's missed out on so much because she's been helping me. Now she wants to try a blind date, and I can't just ignore that.”

If it hadn't been for Nola always needing her, Aimee might have already found someone.
