After hanging up, Bethany let out a sigh of relief.
Although Bethany was unsure whether Aimee and this man would end up together, she was at least glad Aimee was willing to try. This lessened Bethany's feelings of guilt somewhat.

The man headed back downstairs. Nikolas quickly stepped out of the car and approached. "Where is she?"
“Aimee's father mentioned that she's going on a blind date. She's not at home."
“What? Say that again!"
Nikolas' voice boomed, making the man recoil as if he might damage his hearing.
“That's what Aimee's father said to me."
