Chapter: 816
Jonathan looked over at her several times, but she seemed oblivious.

As they approached the airport, he drew her close, his tone gentle yet firm. "Stop overthinking, will you?"

"Do you know what I'm thinking?" she asked.

"Who else could it be but Jayson?" Jonathan had restrained himself for as long as possible, but his patience had worn thin.

He wished he could erase every memory of Jayson from Bethany's mind.

Jayson's presence was an uncomfortable and complex issue.

Unlike Ryan, whom Jonathan could handle in any manner he saw fit, Jayson was a different case.

Jonathan didn't dare to hurt Jayson. Otherwise, Bethany would hate him.

Jayson had genuinely been looking after the kids for years. It wasn't an exaggeration to call him a benefactor.

But whether a benefactor or not, Jayson was still his rival in love, and that distinction had to be clear.

Sometimes, Bethany wondered if Jonathan could read her mind. How else could he always know what she was thinking?

"I really don't know how to face him. I'm worried he'll blame me."

"Nola and Rowan are our children. Why would he blame you?"

“But Jayson's been the one taking care of them most of the time."

It felt as though she had planted the seeds, but Jayson had nurtured them, and now she was reaping the benefits.

It was a difficult conversation to have.

"I'll make it up to him, provided his demands are reasonable."

But give Bethany to him was not an option.

“He doesn't want any compensation." Bethany sighed.

Jonathan frowned, drew her close, and kissed her lips, which seemed always ready to sigh.

He kissed her deeply, parting her Lips.

He was determined to wipe Jayson from her mind, if only for a moment.

Bethany was startled by the intense kiss, but quickly felt a shiver of excitement that made her heart race.

When the kiss ended, her cheeks were flushed, stirring Jonathan's desire even more.
