Chapter: 843
Opening the door, she was greeted by Henson holding a box. “Aimee, this was just delivered for you. The guy said he broke your phone by accident and bought you a replacement."

Aimee knew it must be from Nikolas. She was still upset, recalling how he had deliberately damaged her phone.

“Is this for you?" Henson asked cautiously, seeing Aimee's silence.

“Yes, someone broke my phone and promised to replace it." Aimee accepted the box without a second thought.

After all, Nikolas was to blame. He wasn't short on cash, but she was.

A new phone would have been a big expense for her.

"I was worried it might be some kind of trick," Henson said with a light smile.

Aimee carried the phone back to her room.

Since she had left her SIM card at the airport, she planned to get a new one tomorrow. Meanwhile, she could use most apps.

Upon opening the box, Aimee saw it was the priciest model available.

But she noticed the packaging had already been opened.

"A second-hand phone?" She frowned and powered it on. To her surprise, the phone was new, yet her SIM card was already inside.

Had Nikolas taken her old phone with him? How else would her SIM card have ended up here?

In her anger earlier, she hadn't paid attention.

She powered up the phone, signed into her ID, and began downloading her favorite apps. Just then, her phone began to ring.

Without her contacts transferred, all incoming calls displayed unfamiliar numbers.

"Hello?" Aimee responded, her voice carrying a hint of coldness, half -expecting it to be Nikolas.

"Is this Aimee?" a man inquired cautiously.

It wasn't Nikolas.

"Yes, it's me. Who am I speaking with?"

"I'm Zeke Pearson. Well... Your parents mentioned me before."

Aimee remembered.

Zeke was the man she was supposed to meet on a blind date.

Her frustration with Nikolas had distracted her so much that she forgot to check in with Zeke all day.
