Chapter: 845
So today was the first time he would see her in real life.
Aimee didn't want to rush things, but with the turmoil Nikolas had brought into her life, she felt compelled to get things back on track and reassure her parents.
When her father handed her the phone earlier, Aimee could sense his concern that she might still be in contact with Nikolas. Her parents didn't know everything, but they had a good idea of the situation from the incident when Nikolas showed up and made a scene.
"You're beautiful. I've seen your pictures."
"I edited them," she replied honestly. Every girl edits her photos these days.
“They still look great," Zeke said. “Have you decided what you want to eat?"
Aimee rubbed her stomach. She was hungry but undecided. “Just come and pick me up first, and we'll sort it out."
"Okay!"
After ending the call, Aimee logged back into her social app and discovered that Zeke had sent her over a dozen messages.
“Good afternoon. I'm having Japanese food near the office. Do you like Japanese food?"
“Finished eating. This place isn't great. If I treat you, we won't come here."
"I have some meetings this afternoon. If I don't respond immediately, please don't be upset. I'll message you as soon as I can."
He had sent so many messages that she hadn't seen earlier.
While scrolling through the messages, Aimee noticed a notification in her contacts-a request to add her.
"It was from a new account, featuring a profile picture of Crayon Shin-chan sticking out his tongue and a username made up of a single letter, "
Who else could it be?
There was only one person it could be-Nikolas.
Aimee immediately deleted the request.
She had made her stance clear; there was no reason to continue communicating.
By the time Zeke arrived, night had fallen.
Aimee refreshed herself, put on a white T-shirt, and then headed out.
As she stepped downstairs, she quickly noticed the black Audi.
It was quite noticeable.
Aimee's heart skipped a beat until she realized it wasn't Nikolas stepping out of the car.
