Chapter: 854
Upon hearing this, Bethany quickly slipped into her shoes and said, "I'm on my way. Wait for me."
With no time to ponder further, she threw on a light coat, switched her shoes, and hurried out.
The outdoor lights were still on. As Bethany hurried forward, she noticed a figure in the distance.
He appeared so unexpectedly late at night.
Upon seeing Bethany, B7 removed his hood and scrutinized her.
“iihat's the issue with the USB?" she asked.
“It was deliberately destroyed," B7 responded in his usual languid tone. Bathed in moonlight, he appeared even more pale, and the blue veins on the back of his hand stood out starkly.
"Yes, or I wouldn't be asking for your help." Bethany had suspected that Francine had tried to obliterate any evidence of her wrongdoing.
Otherwise, she wouldn't have maintained such an innocent facade.
Francine assumed Bethany couldn't find any evidence.
"It's the hospital's surveillance footage."
“Have you managed to fix it?" Bethany was surprised.
B7 scoffed, "Do you think it's that simple? Only a few frames have been recovered."
“Alright. Yes, it's the hospital footage. I need to see who visited my mother and what they told her before she passed away."
B7 squinted and tucked his hands into his sweater pockets. His tall, thin frame made him look as if the night wind could sweep him away with ease.
"I usually don't take on such complicated tasks." That was the truth.
Once the footage was repaired, its authenticity would likely be questioned. It could become critical evidence in court, and he might even be summoned to testify about its legitimacy.
He was reluctant to get involved in such matters.
Upon hearing this, Bethany quickly interjected, “But you've already taken my deposit. You can't back out now!"
“Please, just hear me out."
Bethany remained quiet.
B7 looked over at her and asked, “Are you planning to sue those responsible for your mother's death?"
"Yes!"
"Then I'll enhance it to high definition so it's clear for the court to see."
