Chapter: 861
“Well, Mr. and Mrs. Bennett, you might want to discuss this with Nikolas. I really must be going now."

“What's the hurry? Stay for breakfast! I've even had the chef come over to prepare it specially." Gilda didn't let Aimee's words dampen her spirits, still smiling warmly. "After breakfast, whether or not you and Nikolas are together, I'll make sure he goes to the hospital to apologize to your friend. We'll also ensure our family receives any necessary compensation. We can't neglect our responsibilities, or you might find yourself in a difficult spot!"

“It's fine. My friend doesn't need his apology. I'll speak to him."

Aimee was worried that Nikolas might beat Zeke again before any apology could be made.

Given his unpredictable nature, who knew what he might do next?

Whether it was forcing her, smashing her phone, or beating up her friend, could any of those actions be expected from a normal person?

“Aimee, Nikolas has to be accountable for his actions! Don't worry! With his father and me here, he won't dare misbehave," Gilda assured her, her eyes radiating sincerity and lacking any pretentiousness typical of the wealthy.

Aimee thought that if only Jonathan's parents were like this, Bethany would surely be enjoying a blissful life with Jonathan.

Bethany and Jonathan were sleeping in each other's arms again at East Shade Bay, and she slept soundly.

She always seemed to sleep better next to Jonathan.

If not for the noise of the kids playing, she would have slept even longer.

After quickly getting ready, Bethany stepped out in her pajamas and saw Jonathan busy making breakfast in the kitchen.

Nola and Rowan were joyfully playing catch with a ball, their laughter filling the room.

Glancing down, she discovered the expensive carpet was now in complete disarray.

Bethany quickly began tidying up and rearranging the toys.

“Mommy, I still want to play with them!" Nola approached Bethany with a pout. “Dad said we could play however we like!"

She began to call Jonathan her dad. She didn't seem bothered at all.

Bethany had no option but to call Rowan over.

"Daddy really likes things clean; he doesn't enjoy a messy house, so you both should try to keep it tidy."

"But Daddy said it's okay!" Nola was now using Jonathan as_ her defense.

"That's because Daddy adores you, but you should love him back! Don't you want Daddy to be happy?"

Nola blinked her eyes and nodded. “Yes, I want that."

“That's my good girl! Come help Mommy clean up.”

Nola nodded. Rowan chuckled and said, “Mommy, you're really good at convincing!"
