Chapter: 862
Bethany was at a loss for words.

“Breakfast is ready," Jonathan announced as he brought breakfast to the table, then noticed all three bent over, picking up toys.

It was clearly one of Bethany's initiatives.

"Stop cleaning now. I'll take care of it later! Nola, Rowan, come eat breakfast."

"Yeah! Let's eat!" When Nola realized he was off the hook for cleaning, she sprinted away.

Bethany glanced up, a look of helplessness in her eyes.

He smiled warmly, came over, and wrapped his arms around her from behind. "I really don't mind the kids making a mess."

“No more mysophobia?"

"I wouldn't dare."

Bethany glared at him. "You're such a hypocrite! Samira mentioned that the last time she offered to assist you, you refused."

Jonathan paused to think and then recalled the incident at the hospital in Wesden. “She shares everything, doesn't she?"

“Because she has never encountered someone quite Like you before.”

Bethany pulled out a chair and sat down, watching Jonathan help the kids into their seats. "She told me you'd rather endure pain and walk on your own than accept her help."

As Jonathan set a glass of milk in front of her, he confessed, "I just don't like other women touching me."

"Are you worried I might get jealous?" The thought suddenly struck Bethany.

It seemed every time he interacted with Samira, he was exceptionally cold and distant, much like his behavior towards Maddie.

With a smile, Jonathan looked at her and queried, “Would you get jealous?"

“I'm not as petty as you. Samira is a doctor. She's there to provide medical care."

Being jealous of a doctor would indeed be absurd.

“I wish you were a bit more petty."

Over the years, he had adhered strictly to his principles of fidelity, and Bethany had never really intervened.

Bethany simply looked at him and smiled without saying a word.

"I've asked Brody to book a flight to Harvein."

After they finished eating, Jonathan went about tidying up the toys that Nola and Rowan had left scattered.
