Chapter: 875
Bethany relaxed at his words.

Before she could respond, Jonathan's phone buzzed.

He looked down to see Nikolas' name flashing on the screen. Bethany saw it too.

“You were just talking about handling work, and Nikolas is calling you."

Jonathan perched on the edge of the bed, his long Legs crossed.

Bethany watched as he answered the phone.

"Hello."

"Jonathan! When are you and Bethany returning from Harvein?" Nikolas' voice carried a trace of that excitement, suggesting something remarkable had occurred.

This was a stark contrast to his demeanor when he had picked them up at the airport.

Yet, this was the guy that Jonathan knew well; Nikolas was naturally cheerful and lively every day.

"We're not sure yet." Jonathan twirled a strand of Bethany's hair.

"Is this call work-related?"

"No! It's personal!" Nikolas chuckled. "Aimee has agreed to be my girlfriend. I'm meeting her parents today."

Bethany and Jonathan both paused in surprise.

Before their arrival in Harvein, Nikolas and Aimee had been constantly at odds.

“What did you do?" Jonathan was quick to question. “Nikolas, you assured me you wouldn't press Bethany's friend."

Bethany's frown was palpable.

“What are you implying? I wooed her, and she agreed," Nikolas replied, a touch of irritation in his voice. “With my looks, do I really need to force anyone to be my girlfriend?"

"Did Aimee consent voluntarily?"

“Absolutely! Ask Bethany to check with her if you're unsure!" he asked once Jonathan hesitated. As Bethany reached for her phone more for clarity, "Nikolas, are you serious about this."

"Of course!" Nikolas's voice grew louder. "This isn't just about romance. I'm talking about meeting parents and getting married!"

“How Long have you two been together?"

Jonathan worried they were rushing things, like children playing pretend.

Although such impulsiveness was typical for Nikolas, Jonathan felt compelled to caution him, especially since Aimee was Bethany's best friend.
