Chapter: 892
Bethany realized she couldn't keep this secret much longer-it was bound to create issues.

Turning to go and speak to Aimee, she noticed Jonathan standing by the restaurant's entrance, not too far away.

The breeze played with the edges of his clothes and hair, yet he remained motionless, simply gazing at the one he adored.

Jonathan was even more anxious than Bethany, fearful that she might vanish after taking a phone call.

Uncertain of when Bethany might leave him, he constantly felt she was poised to leave at any moment.

“Was it Jayson?"

Once she ended the call, Jonathan moved closer.

Bethany nodded and sighed. "It won't be easy for Nikolas to get on Jayson's good side."

"That's their issue to resolve." Jonathan preferred to stay out of it.

Keeping his expression neutral, he asked, “Why did Jayson call you?"

Shouldn't Jayson have contacted Aimee if he wanted information about her boyfriend?

“Perhaps he thought Aimee wouldn't tell him everything. Actually, Aimee's parents asked him to check with me about Nikolas." Bethany nestled into Jonathan's embrace. "You don't think I'm still involved with Jayson, do you?"

"You might not have feelings for him, but he clearly still has them for you." Jonathan scoffed lightly.

Jonathan remembered feeling Jayson's animosity during a visit to his home. It was far from subtle.

Jayson had claimed to be over Bethany, considering her just a friend, yet his animosity towards her partner told a different story.

"Jonathan." Bethany pouted playfully. "You're being jealous."

Jonathan didn't deny it. Trapping her between the wall and himself, he leaned in for a kiss.

“Yes, I'm jealous, but not as much as Jayson. Unlike him, I can kiss you anytime I want."

Blushing, Bethany savored the kiss, cherishing their closeness.

When Bethany and Jonathan returned to the restaurant, Aimee rose from her chair.

Bethany approached her. “Heading to Jayson's"

"Yes." Aimee sighed, her expression resigned. "I know I'll be scolded, but I need to calm Jayson down. If he badmouths Nikolas in front of my parents, it won't look good for Nikolas."

“I'll come with you." Nikolas stood, eager to support her.

“No, stay here." Aimee dismissed the idea with a wave. "I'll speak with my cousin first. A softer approach might work better with him."
