Chapter: 969
As Aimee listened to her parents singing Nikolas' praises, she felt a wave of relief wash over her.
She was no longer troubled by the situation with Nikolas' ex-girlfriend.
After all, Nikolas had a past, but so did she. There was no point in dwelling on it.
"Mom, am I your daughter or not? Why are you siding with an outsider?"
Aimee asked.
Her mother retorted, "What outsider? Nikolas is about to be engaged to you. We're family.”
Aimee chuckled, musing over how much of a character Nikolas was. He had managed to improve his image so quickly. He truly made an effort.
She should not have questioned his sincerity.
At that moment, Aimee felt shy, like a bride before her wedding, which she couldn't quite explain.
In the car, Nikolas clenched his lips together, staying silent.
Siena stayed quiet in the back seat while sneaking peeks at his side profile.
After they drove more than ten kilometers away from the city, Siena finally asked cautiously, "Do you want to meet the child? It's a girl."
“Fuck you." Nikolas completely lost his cool. He slammed on the brakes and pulled the car over to the side of the road.
They were in a remote area, with few people around, under the cover of darkness.
"Get out of the car."
His voice was menacing, and Siena, not daring to challenge him, quickly opened the door and stepped out.
Nikolas then lit another cigarette for himself. As he struck the lighter, his chiseled jawline was sharply outlined, his looks painfully striking.
This was the reason Siena found it hard to move on from him.
Despite his flaws as a womanizer and a scumbag, he excelled in nearly every other way.
His appearance, height, family background, and career were impressive.
And he was good in bed.
After a prolonged silence, having lit his third cigarette, Nikolas finally asked, “How much money do you want?"
“Do you really think I approached you for money?"
“Do you expect me to marry you? Keep dreaming."
