Alicia just rolled her eyes and buried her face in the pillow, too tired to reply.

Caden scooped her up and carried her to the bathroom.

As steam filled the room, Alicia muttered, “Aren't you supposed to be rushing to work? I can handle it myself. Don't be late."

Caden shrugged. "I'll get there when I feel like it."
